Nginx Static Site Deployment Checklist

Directory

Put the site in a stable directory, such as /var/www/liyong-study-notes. Keep only public files in this directory and avoid mixing secrets or temporary output into it.

Domain

Point the A record to the public server IP. After DNS works, verify that Nginx can return the homepage over HTTP before configuring HTTPS.

Configuration

The Nginx root should point to the site directory. try_files keeps responses limited to files that actually exist. Static assets can use longer cache headers, while HTML should stay easier to update.

Filing display

The ICP filing number should be shown in the footer and linked to the MIIT filing system. After public security filing is approved, add the public security filing number and link.
